What we're looking for:
The Business Development and Operations Head will be responsible for overseeing and managing the operations of the business unit in the Visayas region. This role will focus on ensuring efficient site acquisition, site development, and adherence to project compliance. The position requires a strategic leader who can drive the success of the business unit while maintaining alignment with the company's overall goals and standards
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Thinking
• Strong strategic planning abilities to align business unit operations with company goals.
• Competence in developing and implementing operational strategies that drive growth and efficiency
• Drive business development initiatives to increase revenue streams, particularly through strategic site acquisitions and partnerships.
2. Leadership and Team Management
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, mentor, and manage a diverse team.
• Proficient in setting clear goals, providing feedback, and fostering a collaborative work environment
3. Project Management
• Expertise in planning, executing, and closing projects, with a focus on site acquisition, site development, and compliance.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget
4. Negotiation and Influencing
• Skilled in negotiating contracts and agreements with stakeholders, including property owners, vendors, and local authorities.
• Ability to influence and build consensus among various stakeholders
5. Regulatory and Compliance Knowledge
• In-depth understanding of local regulations, industry standards, and compliance requirements related to site acquisition and development.
• Ability to navigate and manage regulatory challenges effectively.
6. Knowledge of Safety Standards
• Strong knowledge of safety standards and best practices related to construction and site development.
• Ability to implement and monitor safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
7. Financial Management
• Competence in budgeting, financial planning, and resource allocation to achieve business unit financial targets.
• Ability to analyze financial data and implement corrective actions to maintain profitability
• Prepare and manage the business unit’s budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
8. Communication and Negotiation Skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with internal teams, clients, vendors, and regulatory authorities.
• Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable terms in site acquisition and vendor agreements
9. Stakeholder Management
• Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, local authorities, and partners.
• Expertise in managing stakeholder expectations and resolving conflicts.
10. Problem-Solving and Decision-Making
• Advanced problem-solving abilities to address operational challenges and make informed decisions.
• Capacity to think critically and adapt to changing circumstances
11. Project Compliance and Safety
• Ensure all operations, including site acquisition and development, comply with local regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
• Implement and monitor safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
12. Accreditation & Evaluation
• Conduct regular evaluations and monitor accreditation processes to ensure that contractors and partners meet company standards
13. Team Leadership and Development
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Set performance targets and regularly assess team members to ensure goals are met
14. Reporting and Analysis
• Provide regular reports on operational performance, site acquisition progress, and compliance status to senior management.
• Analyze data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement
Educational Background and Work Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or any business-related degree
• Minimum of 5 years management experience, with a strong focus on leading a business unit.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in site acquisition and project compliance management is essential
